Assignment 3 – Digital Footprint

You will be able to create a presentation on the concept of digital footprint and comment on 2 other classmate’s post with links added on your comments page.

It’s great to share things online with your friends. Part of the fun of sharing videos, images and other content, is that lots of people can view and respond. Remember that what you share with your friends may also be viewed by others who you don’t know. They may also be able to look at it for years to come. Everything you post adds up to make your digital footprint and, once it’s online, it could be there forever. So think before you post.

You can also think about a digital footprint as a digital legacy. What type of trail are you leaving behind? Would you want your coach, future employer, college admissions officer or grandmother to see that message, picture or video you posted? Is it a good trail or ugly?
